NAME THE EXES
You pick which apps get blocked. Apple's Screen Time does the blocking, on your phone.
THE BREAKUP TEXT

This is a sample. Yours starts tonight.
KNOW YOUR NUMBER
Answer a few questions — gut guess, first number that stings. Dealbreaker adds up what the apps get out of you in a year and drafts the breakup text. Your estimates, your math: Apple doesn't hand anyone your screen time, and we like it that way.
Once you see the number, it's over.
HOW IT WORKS
You pick which apps get blocked. Apple's Screen Time does the blocking, on your phone.
Next time your thumb finds the app on its own, the wall is standing there with your day count on it.
Walking away banks your average session toward your goal. Getting in is always allowed — the price you set goes on your tab, and the day counter isn't for sale.
Walk away and 37 min stay yours. $15 covers the door. Day 42 isn't for sale.
WHERE THE HOURS GO
Every walk-away banks your average session — real time, back on your side of the ledger, counted toward a goal you actually want. The apps get nothing. The guitar gets Tuesday night.
And if you do pay your way in, clearing the tab sends the cash to the goal's fund. The ex pays for the victory lap.
— THE WALL IS UP
Every walk-away banks 37 min.
Your estimate. Your ledger.
THE PAPER TRAIL
Walk away, cave at 1am, hit Day 90 — Dealbreaker writes each one up as a breakup thread built to be posted.
There's a code on the breakup text. Send it to whoever swears they're worse. Someone's getting crowned.
FROM THE DESK OF
Dealbreaker wasn't built by a wellness brand with a meditation app and opinions about your attachment style. It was built by people who read the dating industry's investor filings and hold a grudge on your behalf — about the paywall drip, the 9:47pm notification, and a business model where endless swiping is the product and you meeting someone is churn.
No streak-shaming. No pep talks. No therapy voice. Just your number, a wall, and a day counter that does the bragging for you.
— The management
THE ASTERISKS
Sure. You can also revoke Screen Time in Settings in under a minute — Dealbreaker is a commitment you set when you were calm, not a cage. It just turns out most people don't uninstall the thing holding their day counter.
Yes, and you're supposed to be able to. Getting in is always allowed — that's the design, not the loophole. The price is one you set for yourself in advance: the dollars land on your tab in plain sight, and the day counter is the half that isn't for sale. A wall you can never open is a wall you delete by week two.
No — and we couldn't if we wanted to. Apple doesn't hand apps your usage history. Every hour Dealbreaker prints comes from questions you answered yourself, and the copy says so: they're estimates, because that's what they are.
No. The tab is a scorecard, not a payment — the money never leaves your account, and Dealbreaker never asks for your bank login. You clear the tab yourself, into the goal's cash fund, on your honor.
Your record lives on your phone, with a backup in your own iCloud that we can't read. Apple's Screen Time never tells us which apps you blocked or opened. We do collect anonymous, un-linked usage and crash data so the app keeps working — that's the honest version, and it's the whole version.
No. It's a paid app — no ads, nothing sold, and nobody upstairs profits when you keep swiping. A year costs about what the apps charge for one month of being seen. It's the only subscription in this story that's designed to end.
For now — the wall is built on Apple's Screen Time. Android's on the list, and we're building toward it. When it ships, you'll hear about it.
ANDROID?
iPhone only for now — the wall is built on Apple's Screen Time. Android's on the list, and we're building toward it. When it ships, you'll hear about it.
